It is time to teach young people that in diversity, there is               beauty and there is strength

TNS Care was created specifically to support 16+ Young people who need targeted intervention with the transitions into independent living. Young people in care often struggle to cope and can feel that their voice isn’t heard. Quite often these risky, symptomatic behaviours can be difficult to understand and pose challenges for those in their support network and community. These responses are a normal reaction to an abnormal childhood, and this understanding drives our work. We offer robust safeguarding and intervention within a nurturing environment that encourages the development of their independence skills, showing them that when life can be difficult it can also be very rewarding

Our transitional homes are the stepping stones that bridge children and young people’s need for a specialist, well planned, professionally staffed and supervised environment and, their equal need, for a small, nurturing, family sized living experience. Our philosophy has been developed over many years of practice and is based on ‘what works’. We provide a safe, therapeutic, caring and containing placement with an individually tailored programme of support . TNS care is able to meet a wide range of  needs for young people as well as providing a step down service for those who are moving on from secure children's homes and specialist residential placements.

Our programme of care offers innovative and dynamic approaches of support in areas such as:

  • Sexual exploitation

  • Sexually harmful behaviour

  • Substance abuse

  • Offending behaviours

  • Eating Disorders

  • Learning difficulties/disabilities, social and communication difficulties including Autistic Spectrum Disorders
